Large medieval gugel made of a particularly durable wool blend fabric
A gogel is a garment worn almost exclusively by men. It dates back to the High Middle Ages. The hood was a hood that partially covered the shoulders. It was made of various materials.
At first, the gugel was purely an everyday garment. From the 14th century onwards, it became fashionable for men to wear the hood. The first find that can be described as a gugel comes from an excavation in Haithabu.
This medieval hood, made from a felt-like wool blend, guarantees particularly warm and cozy comfort and also protects against rain for a long time. Of course, it can be re-impregnated from time to time.
