This fully articulated, wearable leg replica of medieval plate armour worn in the late Middle Ages is handcrafted from 1.6mm (16 gauge) steel and blackened on the inside for added corrosion protection. Protects the thighs, knees and lower legs.



The leggings consist of diechlings, pointed knee pads (or kneecaps ) and hinged leg tubes to protect the shins and calves. The necessary freedom of movement is ensured by a carriage on which the individual pushed elements are connected to each other by means of sturdy steel rivets. The upper edge of the diechlings and the lower edge of the greaves are crimped together. In addition, the diechlinge are equipped with riveted leather pieces with pre-punched holes in the upper edge. On the outside, the knees extend into striking wings that are approximately 17 cm high and 14 cm wide and curve towards the back of the knee. Three riveted, adjustable straps made of approximately 2 mm thick leather and brass buckles allow for individual size adjustment.
