In addition, the leather straps are a lighter shade of brown and some rust can be seen in some places. For these reasons, this item is at a reduced price.

This fully articulated, wearable leg replica of medieval plate armour worn in the late Middle Ages is handcrafted from 1.2mm steel and blackened on the inside for added corrosion protection. Protects the thighs, knees and lower legs.



The leggings consist of diechlings, pointed knee pads (or kneecaps ) and hinged leg tubes to protect the shins and calves. The necessary freedom of movement is ensured by a carriage on which the individual pushed elements are connected to each other by means of sturdy steel rivets. The upper edge of the diechlings and the lower edge of the greaves are crimped together. In addition, the diechlinge are equipped with riveted leather pieces with pre-punched holes in the upper edge. On the outside, the knees extend into striking wings that are approximately 17 cm high and 14 cm wide and curve towards the back of the knee. Three riveted, adjustable straps made of approximately 2 mm thick leather and brass buckles allow for individual size adjustment.



These articulated leg guards are equally suitable for medieval reenactments, larp, ​​stage, tv/film, costume or cosplay. They are ideal for late medieval settings and will make your transformation into a proud and noble knight or warrior simply perfect!





To ensure the armor is right for you, remember to take your measurements with the gambeson (and/or any other garments or chains you plan to wear underneath).



The steel used here is not stainless and may show slight signs of corrosion. We recommend maintaining the plate armour regularly, for example with ballistol, a universal oil ideal for preserving steel products.
