Red Dragon HEMA Sparring Gloves The Red Dragon Weapon Sparring Gloves are at the forefront of affordable hand protection for weapons-based martial arts. Developed in collaboration with the HEMA community, they incorporate many features usually only seen in gloves more than twice the price. The overlapping plastic finger plates ensure that the likelihood of a weapon coming into contact with the fingers is minimal, while offering maximum freedom of movement. The combination of plastic protective plates and shock-absorbing foam provides a high level of protection against many types of blunt weapons used by martial artists. The tough microfiber outer material offers long-lasting protection and durability not found in conventional synthetic leather covers. The gloves were developed for protection against synthetic combat weapons, but are also used by many for combat with steel (blunt) weapons.

Please note that these gloves are designed for synthetic sword combat. While most people consider them durable enough for controlled combat with steel weapons, the gloves wear out more quickly as a result. Red Dragon HEMA Sparring Gloves are not indestructible and are not meant to last forever. As with any other sports equipment, they wear out over time and need to be replaced. The more often they are used, the faster they wear out.
