Care instructions:
Cleaning after use:
After use, gently wipe the steel surfaces with a soft, dry cloth to remove
fingerprints, dirt and moisture.
This prevents surface corrosion.
For tougher marks, use a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly immediately.
Rust prevention:
Apply a thin, even layer of
light machine oil or armor preservation oil
to all metal parts after cleaning. Be sure to apply oil around rivets, hinges, and any overlapping plates where moisture can hide.
Leather Care:
Suede lining should be kept dry. If it gets wet, let it air dry naturally and avoid direct sunlight or heat sources, which can crack the leather. Occasionally, condition the leather with a
pH balanced leather conditioner
to keep it flexible.
Storage:
Store the gloves in a
a dry and slightly humid environment
Avoid damp basements or overly warm attics. Use a breathable cloth bag (like the included Lord of Battles drawstring bag) instead of a sealed plastic bag to allow air circulation and prevent moisture buildup.
Long-term care:
If your gauntlets are going to be stored for long periods, check them periodically for any signs of tarnish or rust and re-oil if necessary.
By following these steps, not only
you will extend the life of your armor
but will also retain its historical beauty.
tournaments or to display it
whenever.
Note:
Each pair is
handmade by expert gunsmiths
Therefore, it is normal for slight variations in the finish, rivets, or leatherwork to occur.
