DETAILS
The Epic Armoury Battle Scythe is a 190cm latex axe inspired by military or war scythes. Featuring a 45cm curved, single-edged blade and a long, wood-like staff, this hand-painted and sculpted scythe is a weapon for any mercenary, revolutionary, or dangerous farmer. Small sculpted details, such as the eyelets that attach the blade to the staff, give this axe a particularly realistic look.
Made from durable closed-cell foam around a fiberglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, you can be sure that your LARP Battle Scythe weapon will provide the security and appeal you desire when building your kit.
HISTORY
- A normal scythe would have been used as a farming tool, but a repurposed curved blade was also used as a weapon on a walking stick.
- War scythes were built as a defensive weapon against cavalry.

All latex-coated weapons require a certain level of maintenance. For this purpose, we recommend using maintenance silicone, which can be purchased separately in the LARP Accessories section. Epic Armory Maintenance Silicone is an easy-to-use spray that is 100% pure and acid-free, making it safe to apply. We recommend using Maintenance Silicone regularly. It maintains the flexibility of the latex layer and prevents it from drying out, keeping the product resistant to wear and tear.
Store your latex guns horizontally or on their pommel, NEVER on their tip. Use a simple sheet or towel lining to prevent them from touching a plastic or rubber surface and prevent your gun from sticking to other products. Keep your guns in a cool, dry environment.
