Greek brass greaves, pair

Greek hoplites were usually protected by their large round shield. However, most of the leg areas were not covered. That is why ancient warriors used metal greaves. They were usually made of bronze, strong enough to provide good protection but thin enough to be worn.

Just like the originals, our reconstructions simply open and fasten over the lower leg. They are then fastened without further locking using buckles or similar.

The rails have a leather edge and are lined with soft felt on the inside.
