Great Helm / Pot Helm from the 13th Century, Gauge 16
It fits all head sizes with an inner circumference of 72cm (unlined) and has a heavy duty chin strap with brass buckle to keep it in place during battles(69cm with lining) The overall height is 33cm, and the width across the bottom from front to back is 22.5cm. The eye openings measure 10.5cm long, 1.6cm wide at the inner end, and 1.4cm wide at the outer end. It weighs about 3kgs 390grams. Please note: This product is carefully coated with a layer of oil when packaged which acts as a temporary (protective) layer against corrosion (rust), this can be easily cleaned with any degreaser or even a dry cloth.
This helmet is directly inspired by several 13th-century sources and, for example, is very similar to many of the helmets featured in the Maciejowzki Bible. The PURE BRASS cross riveted to the front of the helmet makes it look straight out of the Middle Ages. Its flat top is typical of that period, which evolved into the more pointed, sugarloaf-shaped helmet.
