DETAILS

This bestselling Epic Armory Greatsword is a historical-looking two-handed sword with an extra-long blade. From tip to pommel, the Greatsword stretches a massive 140 cm, including a 105 cm long ridged center blade with a ricasso for integral half-sword techniques for true longsword fighting in close quarters. It has a sturdy, realistic-looking crossguard with a 32 cm handle wrapped in split leather. The grip is ergonomic to give you the best possible control of the long blade. The pommel is designed to resemble an elongated cocked hat often used on Renaissance swords.

This Greatsword has been designed to fit low-fantasy genres with a realistic look that will suit linebreakers and other elite warriors of all worlds. Made with durable closed-cell foam around a solid fiberglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, you can be sure that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you desire when building your battlefield kit.

HISTORY

• Also known as Zweihänder (lit. two-handed)
• The soldiers who trained to use these swords were called Meister des langen Schwertes (lit. Master of the long sword)
• It required the use of two hands to wield, and was so long that it had to be carried unsheathed on the shoulder like a halberd.
