Viking Birka Cap with Herringbone Design, Blue



This cap is made from a durable cotton fabric with a herringbone pattern and has a contrasting canvas waistband. The inside of the cap is lined with a lightweight cotton fabric.



The use of headdresses was common for both sexes in the Middle Ages. However, this type of cap was only worn by men. They were available in both plain and fur-trimmed versions. There is evidence of the cut on both the haithabu and the birka.
