Medieval gorget with armpits, 14th century, 1.6 mm steel



This portable and mobile replica of late medieval plate armour for the neck (ring or collar armour) and shoulders/upper arms (armpits) is hand forged from 1.6 mm steel. To protect the armpits, these are fitted with so-called floating discs . These round steel discs are attached to each shoulder pad with sturdy leather and rivets.



In the case of the shoulder pads, the individual shoulder elements are connected to each other by sturdy leather straps riveted on the inside, which guarantee the necessary mobility. The armpits are removable and each has an adjustable leather strap with a brass buckle. This allows for easy individual adjustment of the upper arm.



This neck and shoulder armour set is equally suitable for historical reenactment, larp, ​​stage or cosplay and will make your transformation into a proud and noble knight or warrior simply perfect.

The steel used here is not stainless and may show slight signs of corrosion. We recommend taking care of plate armour regularly, for example with Ballistol, a universal oil ideal for preserving steel products.
