This flat torc from the Viking Age is made of brass and was hammered by hand. The choker has a diameter of approx. 16 cm and the size can be individually adjusted.
Brass has the good property that, on the one hand, it looks like gold and, on the other, it does not stick to the skin (unlike bronze, for example).
