Long gambas with buttons

A gambeson is almost indispensable for display and free combat. The gambeson, also called gambison , armour or aketon , was mainly worn under plate armour and chain mail in the Middle Ages. It increased the wearing comfort of this steel armour and could also absorb blows from the enemy, thus reducing the risk of injury.

This ulfberth® gambeson is made from several layers of fabric: a strong and robust cotton canvas outer layer, two padded wool layers and a soft cotton inner lining.
< br>This version is inspired by a late medieval armour jacket. What is special about it is the fitted cut and the fabric-covered buttons.
