The Imperial Gambeson from Epic Armory is a long-sleeved, padded coat that covers the wearer from neck to hips. The padding is either vertical or horizontal depending on the area, allowing for the greatest range of movement. While it can serve as padded armor on its own, as it has since at least 400 BC, its most common use is as padding beneath heavier metal armor. It was a good, if basic, armor, but when combined with plate or chain mail, it stood out as excellent protection against most weapons.

Maintenance
As a heavyweight fabric, this heavyweight canvas product is stronger and heavier than plain cotton. This material wrinkles easily, but can be ironed.
Cleaning
Clean dirt from the bag with a brush and hand wash it in cold water when necessary.
Machine wash at 30°C / 86°F. Wash separately for the first time and with similar colors thereafter. Do not tumble dry. Hang to dry or lay flat to dry. For general staining or discoloration of the canvas, treat with a commercial fabric cleaner or dry with warm water and a soft cloth.
