War is all you know. For your clan, war is a permanent state. Just as you need meat to sustain yourself and leather armor to protect your leathery green skin, war quenches your thirst for chaos and violence.

Your clan now gathers to prepare for war against the goblins. The creatures used to be your allies, but in the last battle they turned cowardly and fled. Now there's nothing left to do but hunt down each of them and serve them above your fire.

You start by collecting Hellfire, the sword that burns along with your anger.

DETAILS

Hellfire by Epic Armoury is a mid-length sword designed as part of the Orc Universe collection. Painstakingly hand-painted in deep gradient reds and oranges, Hellfire appears to burn with intense magic. The 60cm double-edged blade is notched and weathered, connected to a dark metal crossguard that protects the ergonomic 15cm handle. The handle is wrapped in split leather for a secure and comfortable grip and ends with a roughly jeweled pommel.

Made from durable closed-cell foam around a fiberglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, you can be sure that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you desire when creating your Orc-inspired kit.

INSPIRATION

• Earliest references to orcs are found in Old English and Anglo-Saxon sources, such as Beowulf and in 16th-century Italian folk tales.
• The word itself comes from the Latin word Orcus , which was the name given to the Roman deity of the dead
• JRR Tolkien's 20th-century Lord of the Rings series depicts orcs as brutal, aggressive beings with a taste for human flesh.
• Tolkien's writings influenced many role-playing games and are now seen in games such as Dungeons and Dragons , Warhammer , and Warcraft.
