Fiebing's acrylic resolene is the most commonly used topcoat for; dyed, patinated or polished leather. Fine, durable and water-repellent, fiebing's resolene varnish is ideal as a top finish for sealing smooth leather shoes, bags etc.
Fiebing's acrylic resolene can also be used to prevent staining of purchased leather items.

How to use:
- The surface to be sealed must be dry and clean.
- For a perfect result, we recommend applying Fiebing's Resolene in several thin layers, allowing each layer to dry completely before applying the next.
- When using an airbrush gun, spray only lightly for each layer. If using a sponge, first moisten it with water and apply resolene using long strokes in one direction to avoid sticky residue forming. Be careful not to use too much in each layer to avoid bubbles forming (otherwise rings will be visible after drying).
- Depending on the amount applied, the result after drying varies from a silky matte to an intense shine.
- If you want to use Fiebing's Resolene to protect purchased leather products (e.g. handbags) from fading, thoroughly clean the leather beforehand with a dirt film remover to remove the existing finish.

Please note:
- Neutral resolene may look bluish when wet, but when dry is colorless/transparent.
- Resolene is not suitable for use on suede/chamois.
- Resolene loses its effect at sub-zero temperatures.
