Medieval lantern made of wood and rawhide (parchment)



This beautiful medieval lantern is handmade from painted wood and genuine rawhide (parchment). It consists of a lower round plate and an upper ring, which are connected to each other by 8 rods. The cylindrical body is tightly covered with parchment; the fine leather is sewn and firmly fixed to the wooden frame with nails.



The lamp is equipped with a metal inner sleeve. To hold the candle securely, a sharp tip is integrated inside the spout. Thanks to the long holder attached to the spout, the candle can be easily lifted and lit or replaced without the risk of burning your fingers.



The scroll allows the light to shine through, creating a soft, cozy and warm glow. Placed on a table at night, the lamp creates a beautiful atmosphere both indoors and out. It also has a braided rope handle, so it can be easily carried or hung.



This beautiful, decorative and functional wooden lamp is not only an ideal accessory for rustic historical events such as medieval markets/camps and reenactments, living history or larp events, but is also perfect for the home garden.
