The falchion, also called a malchus , is a single-edged slashing weapon used primarily by skirmishers, pikemen, and other infantry troops. It was used as a secondary weapon in the late Middle Ages.

The ulfberth® forge offers a replica that is suitable for show fighting and shines above all for its very good price-performance ratio. The falchion has a forged blade made of 55si7 (en45) spring steel, oil-hardened to approx. 48-50 hrc, forged up to the handle and riveted at the pommel end. The wooden handle is wrapped with a leather strap and the elegant crossguard is hand-forged from steel. The blade edge is blunt and slightly rounded. The tip of the sword was also rounded according to the rules of show fighting.

The falchion is exclusively handmade and comes with a matching leather sheath.
