Treat yourself to a Falchion with a leather sheath, a combat sword, category B.
Falchion with leather scabbard, Category-B
The falchion, also called a malchus , is a single-edged slashing weapon used primarily by riflemen, pikemen, and other infantry troops. It was used as a secondary weapon in the late Middle Ages.
The Ulfberth® Forge offers a replica suitable for show fighting and which shines above all for its very good price-performance ratio. The falchion has a blade forged from 55Si7 (EN45) spring steel, oil-hardened to approximately 48-50 HRC, forged down to the handle and riveted to the pommel end. The wooden handle is wrapped with a leather strap, and the elegant crossguard is hand-forged from steel. The blade edge is blunt and slightly rounded. The sword tip has also been rounded according to the rules of show fighting.
The falchion is exclusively handmade and comes with a matching leather sheath.
