The Celtic-Iberian Romans were justly famous for their weapons, such as the falcata, one of the most devastating swords ever made! The inward-curving blade delivered a powerful blow, capable of splitting both shield and helmet. This sword is believed to be of Greek or possibly Etruscan origin, and was widespread in southern Russia and also Spain. In the hands of the Spanish, it was most feared by the Romans.
This Celtic-Iberian falcata sword has a blade made of 1065 carbon steel. The handle is made of solid brass. Includes a scabbard. Total length approx. 64.5 cm.
