Gift Falcata with Horse Head Handle, Including Sheath and Side Knife, 4th-3rd Century BC

Falcata with a horsehead handle, including scabbard and side knife, 4th-3rd century BC.
The falcata is the typical pre-Roman sword of the Celtiberians, a Celtic people who lived before and during the Roman era on the Iberian Peninsula, especially in what is now north-central Spain. It is similar to the Greek kopis and the Nepalese khukri . Our falcata is a replica of a sword from the 4th or 3rd century BC.
The richly decorated brass handle in the shape of a horse's head is particularly striking. The handle grips are made of bone and secured with brass rivets. The EN45 spring steel blade is also highly decorative with its numerous grooves. The scope of delivery includes a small knife with a bone handle. Neither the sword nor the side knife are sharpened.
The sword and knife are housed in a beautiful red leather-covered wooden scabbard with a muzzle plate, a laying plate, bands, and movable brass support rings.
This sword is designed as a collector's item or decorative object and is also ideal as an accessory, for example to complete your costume.

Since bone is a natural product, variations in color and/or grain are quite normal. Therefore, each handle of this sword and side knife is unique, and the images above are for illustrative purposes only.
