The Extrema Ratio Misericordia Desert retains all the characteristics of the famous Misericordia, a model of the 4th Alpine Paratrooper Regiment, and is derived from the commemorative dagger issued to commemorate the 140th anniversary of the 4th Alpine Regiment and the 70th anniversary of the Alpine Paratroopers. It is a fixed-blade tactical knife intended for situations where a knife must be extremely light and compact. The new Desert color gives this model a new hue that better suits the needs of the most modern operational units. The blade is milled from Böhler N690 steel, heat-treated to 58 HRC, 118 mm long, and 4 mm thick with a flat grind. The knife weighs only 87 g (3.1 oz). The blade has a spearpoint profile with a fuller edge, making it even lighter, and a false double edge that runs three-quarters of its length. The surface has a stonewashed finish. The knife has a polymer handle that flows smoothly into the ring, topped by a breaker disc that allows for martial arts techniques and ensures a very solid grip. It has the classic Extrema Ratio groove near the front for a better grip and is secured to the tang with a screw. This version features a desert-colored handle. Since this knife is designed and intended for professional use, great importance has been placed on easy carrying, access, and removal when necessary. The knife attaches to the sheath with a quick-release clasp that can be easily reversed for left-handed use. The highly durable nylon sheath also has a desert look and is very versatile. Two adjustable loops allow for connection to MOLLE systems, enabling rapid removal in a tactical scenario.
