Dobermann IV is the evolution of the first and most classic extreme ratio k1 Dobermann.

Since 1997, the Dobermann model has had its aesthetics and design in line with the constant changes in tastes and trends, while maintaining its original line. Dobermann IV is characterized above all by its flexibility of use and structural resistance.

The Dobermann IV S600 is, like its model, a multi-purpose knife designed for hunting and survival, which can be used for camping and military use. The blade has a dropped point tip, while the middle part has a curved blade profile. The sharpening, which is higher than that of knives in the same segment, is flat. This special blade geometry allows the Dobermann IV to make precise and clean cuts in materials such as rope, wood and leaves, as well as being used for typical bushcraft and survival operations such as striking and cutting.

Unlike the other Dobermann IVs, this model is made of Böhler S600 steel. This material is used for the production of locksmith and punching tools. The high content of molybdenum, tungsten and a good presence of vanadium in its chemical composition ensure excellent properties such as hardness, wear resistance and toughness. The presence of cobalt promotes the growth of small and evenly distributed carbides, which improve mechanical properties such as bending capacity. The blade of the Dobermann IV S600 is tempered and cryogenically treated, achieving an exceptional hardness of 64 HRC; this makes them very resistant to wear and gives the edge a long-lasting edge. Böhler S600 has a chromium content of 4.5%, which makes it oxidizable. For this reason, Extrema Ratio has chosen the new Teflon-based EXP Dark coating.

The Dobermann IV S600 is equipped with a green forprene handle. A knob protrudes from the handle, which acts as a glass breaker and has a hole for a lanyard.

Dobermann iv s600 is equipped with a cordura thigh holster, also green, which has a molle attachment system and is suitable for both left and right-handed users.
