Dobermann IV is the evolution of the first and most classic extrema ratio k1 dobermann.

Since 1997, the Dobermann model has evolved its aesthetic and design in line with constantly changing tastes and trends, maintaining its original design. The Dobermann IV is characterized above all by its flexibility of use and structural strength.

The Dobermann IV S600 is, like its predecessor, a multipurpose knife designed for hunting and survival, which can be used for camping and military use. The blade has a drop-point tip, while the middle section has a curved blade profile. The sharpness, which is higher than that of knives in the same segment, is flat. This special blade geometry allows the Dobermann IV to make precise, clean cuts in materials such as rope, wood, and leaves, in addition to being used for typical bushcraft and survival operations, such as beating and chopping.

Unlike other Dobermann IV models, this model is made from Böhler S600 steel. This material is used for the production of locksmith and punching tools. The high molybdenum and tungsten content, along with a good presence of vanadium in its chemical composition, ensure excellent properties such as hardness, wear resistance, and toughness. The presence of cobalt promotes the growth of small, evenly distributed carbides, which improve mechanical properties such as bending ability. The Dobermann IV S600 blade is tempered and cryogenically treated, achieving an exceptional hardness of 64 HRC. This makes it highly resistant to wear and gives the edge a long-lasting sharpness. Böhler S600 has a 4.5% chromium content, making it oxidizable. For this reason, Extrema Ratio chose the new Teflon-based EXP Dark coating.

The Dobermann IV S600 is equipped with a green forprene handle. A knob protrudes from the handle, acting as a glass breaker, and has a lanyard hole.

The Dobermann IV S600 is equipped with a green Cordura thigh holster, which features a Molle attachment system and is suitable for both left- and right-handed users.
