German Pappenheimer rapier
Replica of a 17th century German rapier.
The rapier is called the Pappenheimer due to the typical design of the vessel (cesta parier). The name refers to the Imperial general from the Thirty Years' War, Gottfried Heinrich zu Pappenheim. This type of rapier was very popular in his famous cuirassier regiment.
The rapier is delivered including the sheath shown (wooden with leather covering and steel fittings).
