This swept-hilt rapier (basket-handle rapier or locking-hilt rapier) from Hanwei has classic lines. The blade is made of flexible, hardened carbon steel. To ensure low maintenance, the handle is made of stainless steel. A special guard can serve as a blade catcher and the handle is wrapped with twisted wire. Since the vessel was made exactly the same size as the 17th-century German original, it offers an authentic feel and is also equal to its original in terms of weight and balance.

The blade can be used against the blunt Hanwei training blade (item no. oh2255), which was designed for safe rapier combat, it can be replaced. A matching left-handed dagger (item no. sh2208) is also available and can also be equipped with a combat blade.
