The bamboo wakizashi mat has a blade made of high alloy Hanwei HWS-1S steel , which combines outstanding performance with an excellent hardness line -choji ( hamon ).

This steel is manufactured in Hanwei's new high-tech forge and the result is a state-of-the-art blade with excellent edge retention and durability.

The blackened iron tsuba of this samurai sword has a bamboo mat-like surface and is bordered with bamboo cane motifs and decorated with gold-tipped bamboo leaves.
Fuchi and kashira are in the same style, and the gold-colored menuki depicts a pair of sparrows.

The saya has a high gloss finish and horn fittings.
