This Epic Armory foam with fiberglass core is one of our DIY products used to create your own live-action role-playing weapon, while benefiting from the safety of an Epic Armory sword. The 8mm diameter fiberglass core is 75cm long and is strong, flexible, and fitted with our Kevlar tip protection to prevent potential accidents. A 60cm long foam block is securely fixed around the core, leaving a 15cm gap at the end of the core for the handle. The block measures 5cm wide and 2.5cm tall and is made of closed-cell foam that feels soft, lightweight, and durable.

Instructions for use:

There are several methods for creating your own LARP weapon, but this is the basic one! Carefully carve the foam block into the desired weapon shape using a knife or sandpaper. Remember to leave a safe amount of foam around the core to preserve its safety! When you achieve the shape you want, clean (and dry!) ​​and dip the weapon in latex. Let the latex dry between coats for a smooth, protective surface.

Cover your latex gear with a thin layer of silicone to prevent the surface from drying out and prolong the life of your weapon. Always inspect your weapon for damage before and after each use. Wrap the handle with leather or fabric for a finished look.
