This Epic Armory hard foam is one of our DIY products used to create your own weapons, shields, or live-action role-playing armor. This particular 3x500x1000mm sheet is dense and harder to bend, making it perfect for fine detailing on top of our softer foam. This product is made from closed-cell foam that won't tear, feels lightweight and durable, and has excellent memory after being molded.

Instructions for use:

There are multiple methods for creating a LARP weapon, but these are the basics when using our Epic hard foam! Carve and heat the foam into the desired shape. Attach it to our softer foam or use it as a detail piece on costumes or armor. Remember to leave a safe amount of foam around the core of a weapon to preserve its safety. When you achieve the shape you want, dip the weapon in latex and let it dry between coats for a smooth, protective surface.

Cover your latex gear with a thin layer of silicone to prevent the surface from drying out and prolong the life of your weapon. Always inspect your weapon for damage before and after each use. Wrap the handle with leather or fabric for a finished look.

Epic Foam Hard = density is ± 90 to 95 kg/m3
Epic Foam Soft = density 60 kg/m3
