Chinese butterfly swords (also called butterfly knives ) are absolutely iconic and incredibly popular with collectors and martial artists alike. Typically, these short swords are always used in pairs, but are cleverly disguised as stacked one on top of the other to give the appearance of a single sword in its sheath. Only when pulled can they be separated in an instant and placed in either hand!
In Cold Steel®'s interpretation of these classic weapons, the blades measure approximately 38 cm long and 6.7 cm wide. The pronounced D-shaped blades end in a forward-curving crossguard. This means enemy weapons can be more easily repelled or captured. The beautiful wooden handles ensure a secure and comfortable grip.
