Viking sword (National Museum of Copenhagen) with scabbard, 10th century, Category-B combat sword
Inspired by a 10th-century sword housed in the Danish National Museum in Copenhagen, this sword has a blunt carbon steel blade. The blade itself is wide and has a wide kerf, which significantly reduces its weight while still allowing the sword to display its strength. The short guard and pommel are made of steel. The handle is wrapped with a leather strap. The sword scabbard is made of leather-wrapped wood and has a beveled metal plate and a wooden belt loop (for belts with a maximum width of 5 cm).
This sword is perfect for reenactment.
