Viking sword of hedmark, fighting show Category-B
This sword is inspired by the Norwegian Hedmark sword, dating from the late 9th century. The original is housed in the Oslo Historical Museum.
This replica has an unsharpened, double-edged blade with a wider handle. The guard and the wide pommel, typical of this type of sword, are made of steel. The pommel is riveted. The handle is wrapped with a leather strap.
The included sword scabbard is made of leather-wrapped wood and has a steel chapel and a wooden holder as a belt loop (for belts up to 5 cm wide).
This is the battle-ready version of this Viking sword.
