This traditional, hand-forged Viking sword pays homage to centuries of swordmaking in Northern Europe. Each sword is individually forged from durable, heat-treated carbon steel and shaped by experienced swordsmiths. The unsharpened edge is designed for safe practice, stage combat, and historical training, offering the authenticity of a real sword without the risk of using a live blade.
Functional and ready for practice: Unlike decorative hangers, this sword is made to be wielded. The strong tang is securely ground within the round steel pommel, providing excellent balance and structural integrity. The straight crossguard offers reliable hand protection, echoing original Viking designs seen in archaeological finds from the 9th–11th centuries.
Premium Leather Sheath: A finely crafted sheath with a wood core, a genuine leather scabbard, and polished steel hardware on the pommel and hilt is included. This scabbard keeps the sword protected and enhances its presence in any collection or training equipment.
The handle is carefully wrapped in leather, ensuring a secure and comfortable grip during controlled combat, exercises, or theatrical performances. It feels substantial without being cumbersome, easily withstanding long handling sessions.
Important note about functionality: Although often described as functional, this term refers specifically to the sword's suitability for stage combat and controlled training, not for cutting or live-blade use. Definitions of "functional" may vary by manufacturer: this sword is intended for safe practice only and is delivered unsharpened.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
- Clean and lubricate regularly to prevent corrosion
- Do not hit hard surfaces or use for cutting tests.
- Store in a dry environment, away from moisture
- Avoid prolonged coating to prevent moisture buildup
- Periodically inspect the tightness of the bare construction ⭐.
