The one-handed sword offered here is an appropriate interpretation of a Viking display sword of the 11th century. This type of sword (Oakeshott type)

The double-edged blade made of EN45 tempered spring steel tapers slightly towards the point and is provided with an approx. 2 cm wide groove that runs almost the entire length of the blade. It extends. The unsharpened cutting edges are particularly thick and the continuous tang of the blade is riveted to the pommel. The wooden handle is tightly wrapped with a fine brown leather strap. It is framed by a strong pommel and a straight guard, both made of steel. The guard is approx. 16.5 cm long, approx. 2 cm thick in the middle and tapers cylindrical to approx. 0.5 cm.

This one-handed sword comes with a brown wooden/leather scabbard.

This sword is a version suitable for show combat. With its approximately 1.5mm/2mm thick blunt edges and rounded tip, it is perfect for reenactments, light show combat or sparring.
