Treat yourself to a Viking Sword with Sheath, 10th Century, Regular Version
Viking sword with scabbard, 10th century, standard version
A beautiful reconstruction of a 10th-century Viking sword, based on finds from England. As early as the 8th century, isolated Vikings roamed the British coasts in search of quick prey. However, starting in the 9th century, this tactic changed, and Scandinavians began to take over land in England and settle there.
This sword is exclusively handmade. The guard and the typical five-rib pommel are made of steel. The blade runs continuously to the pommel, where it is hand-riveted. The handle is wrapped with a leather strap. The blade has a pronounced groove, giving the sword great elasticity yet lightness. The blade's edge is unsharpened.
The sword comes with a beautiful leather sheath and a wooden belt loop (for belts up to 5 cm wide). The scabbard has a richly decorated brass scabbard.
This is the normal version of this Viking sword.
The same sword is also available in a version suitable for show battles, with a blunt blade and rounded tip: item no. 0116696306.
