Very nice reconstruction of a 10th century Viking sword, based on finds from England. As early as the 8th century, isolated Vikings roamed the British coasts in search of quick prey. However, from the 9th century onwards this tactic changed and Scandinavians began to settle and establish themselves in England.



This sword was created entirely by hand. The guard and the typical five-ribbed pommel are made of steel.
The blade reaches to the pommel and is hand-riveted there. The handle is wrapped with a leather strap.
The blade is forged from high-quality spring steel and tempered to approx. 48 hrc. It has a pronounced hollow groove,
Which gives the sword great elasticity and lightness at the same time. The tip of the blade and the cutting edges are dull and
Rounded. The sword is delivered with a very nice wooden leather sheath with a wooden holder as a belt loop (for belts with a maximum width of 5 cm).
The scabbard has a richly decorated brass hood.
