This Viking sword, which has the typical appearance of a type D Viking sword (as classified by Jan Petersen of Norsk Vikingesverd in 1919), is a replica of a find from the Scottish island of Eigg.
This Viking sword features a blunt, double-edged Damascus steel with a wider blade. The finely crafted handle, guard, and pommel are all bronze, cast in the typical shape of this sword.
The scabbard is made of wood covered in leather. The butt and mouth plate, as well as the holder, which serves as a belt loop, are also made of bronze and richly decorated.
