Enjoy a Viking Sword Sharpened on One Side
Viking sword sharpened on one side
While most Viking swords have a double-edged blade, there are also some historical examples of single-edged blades with an upward-curving point. The cold steel single-edged Viking sword may not be a faithful copy of any specific historical model, but it combines some of the best features of Viking swords.
The blade, approximately 77 cm long, is almost 5 cm wide and has an extra-wide kerf. The blade is widest at the crossguard and tapers toward the curved tip.
The handle is very traditional, with a simple, relatively short crossguard. The wooden handle is wrapped with brown cord and ends in a heavy pommel decorated with copper wire and tapered to improve balance and make the sword fit comfortably in the hand.
