Note: This basket-hilted sword is a replica of an original sword dated to around 1760 in the British Royal Armouries collection. The blade of the original sword was most likely made in Germany a century earlier and then fitted with a more modern basket-hilt handle. This Scottish sword features an unusual basket-hilt with an engraved horned beast and a blade with two fulling mills that reach almost to the tip.

This replica is antique. The patina on its easy-care stainless steel basket is museum quality. The carbon steel blade has also been lightly distressed to give it an authentic look. The handle is made of genuine wire-wrapped stingray skin and the bowl is lined with fabric-covered leather. A leather-covered sheath is included.
