This Hanwei one-handed sword sets new standards for quality and authenticity in broadsword design. One of England's proudest knights, Sir William Marshall, who loyally served the Crown under Henry II, Richard the Lionheart, and Jack Lackland, carried this beautiful sword. Our replica is a detailed replica of the original, which is now on display in a British museum. The one-handed sword is available with two different blades: on the one hand with a carbon steel blade, but also with a Damascus steel blade (0165192001).
Both blades are heat-treated to a Rockwell hardness of HRC 52 and offer the same handling properties. The blade has a full-length center groove, a huge challenge for the smith, resulting in a great combination of speed and strength. The handle is wrapped and lined with leather. The crossguard and pommel impress with their simple elegance and functionality. The scabbard is leather-wrapped and features steel fittings.
