He could feel his nerves burning, like an angry cat arching its back and hissing, and he calmed himself by touching the soft leather of his sword. He had served his family well, and the carved groves of trees felt as familiar as his own and never failed to calm him. And just in time, the tax collector's carriage arrived."

Epic Armoury's Ranger Sword is part of the Vanguard line and its design is inspired by knightly swords (or weapons) from late medieval Europe. It has a curved crossguard to increase the ability to catch an opponent's weapon and potentially disarm them. The hilt is made of polyurethane and has a high degree of detail, as it is sculpted to resemble a leather wrap around the handle, with a light amount of gold detailing to make it stand out visually. The hilt ensures a great grip for the wielder. The blade is made of closed-cell polyurethane foam and colored to look as realistic as possible. Unlike most LARP weapons, the Vanguard line requires virtually no maintenance beyond checking for wear in the form of cuts or breaks.
