Enjoy Norman Sword With Sheath, Combat Sword, Sk-c

Norman sword with scabbard, combat sword, sk-c

At the Battle of Hastings in 1066, the Normans conquered England and installed William the Conqueror as their new king. This event also marks the end of the Viking Age. The Vikings eventually settled on their conquests and, as Christianised Normans, even undertook crusades in honour of their new god. Today’s sword fits exactly into this warlike era, which was characterised by great changes. It can be described as both late Viking and Norman .

This sword is exclusively handmade. The straight guard and the typical pommel are made of forged and heat-treated cast iron. The spring steel blade, oil-hardened to approx. 48 HRC, extends to the pommel and is hand-riveted there. The handle is wrapped with a leather strap.
The blade has a pronounced groove, which gives the sword great elasticity and at the same time lightness. The tip of the blade and the cutting edges are blunt and rounded.

The sword is delivered with a very nice wooden leather scabbard with a wooden holder as a belt loop (for belts with a maximum width of 5 cm). The scabbard also has a steel plate.
