Experience the era of the Norman Conquest with this traditionally hand-forged Norman medieval sword, created for enthusiasts who demand authenticity, durability, and safety. This sword is fully functional for choreography and controlled combat, while remaining unsharpened for safe handling.
The hand-forged high-carbon steel blade is crafted with a full tang, providing superior balance and strength for repeated use in training. Its iconic wheel pommel, distinctive of Norman-era swords, enhances balance and control, making it comfortable for practitioners of historical arts.
The leather-wrapped wooden handle provides a secure grip, while the straight crossguard protects your hands during performances. The polished steel finish gives it the appearance of the weapons carried by Norman knights from the 10th to 12th centuries.
The leather-covered scabbard has a metal rim and is equipped with an adjustable belt loop, allowing it to be worn on the hip as medieval warriors did. This scabbard not only protects the blade but also adds authenticity to the sword's presentation when displayed or worn.
Important note: Although commonly referred to as a "functional" sword, this sword is not sharpened for cutting. "Functional" in this context means it is built to withstand light to moderate contact and stage combat. Always train responsibly with proper protective gear. It is not intended for live-blade cutting or full-contact tournaments.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
- Clean and dry after each use to prevent corrosion.
- Lightly oil the blade regularly.
- Store it sheathed in a dry place.
- Avoid dropping or hitting the blade against hard surfaces to maintain its sharpness.
