Acquire 15th Century Longsword, Windlass
15th century longsword, windlass
The longsword, often called the hand-and-a-half sword, was often used as a weapon of war, but also as a civilian weapon of self-defense. Combined with a dagger, the longsword was an excellent means of defense against robbers, thieves, foot soldiers, assassins, and even some bands of robbers roaming the countryside. Its well-adapted point allowed it to be used as a stabbing weapon, and its moderate weight made it easy to handle and carry. This weight also allowed it to be wielded with one hand while holding a dagger in the other. If necessary, it could also be wielded with both hands for a very powerful blow. It is a beautiful and highly functional sword with a steel pommel and guard. The handle is made of wood and wrapped with leather and wire.
Manufactured by windlass steelcrafts.
This sword is designed as a collector's item or decorative object and is also ideal as an accessory, for example to complete your costume.
