Looking for a high-quality yet affordable sword for fighting shows? With this medieval two-handed sword, we offer the most demanding fencer the ideal weapon: a robust yet lightweight and well-balanced display sword that's easy on the wallet.
The sword has the typical characteristics of a traditional two-handed sword from the late Middle Ages in Europe and represents, so to speak, an ideal type of late medieval longsword. This classic example of a slashing and piercing longsword is inspired by the knightly sword, a type of sword wielded in the 15th century.
The long, double-edged carbon steel blade with a flattened, diamond-shaped cross-section tapers smoothly toward the tip, both in profile and distally. It is forged to the pommel and riveted there to the end of the handle. The unsharpened edges are approximately 2.5 mm / 1.5 mm thick, and the tip is rounded.
The cross-shaped hilt consists of a long handle with a wooden core and brown leather covering, a straight steel guard, and an elongated, eight-faceted butt-knob, also made of steel, with concave side surfaces and a rounded end.
All in one, this late medieval combat-ready sword combines optimal weight distribution, maneuverability, and a secure hold with elegant simplicity.
The late medieval knight's sword comes with a beautiful wooden scabbard and a brown leather sheath. The tip is reinforced with a blued steel plate, and at the mouth, leather covers part of the crossguard at the ricasso. The sheath also comes with an adjustable carrying strap (shoulder strap).
Of course, this two-handed sword is not only perfect for reenactments, fight shows, or sparring, but also as a collectible, decorative item, or accessory to complete your costume.
Sophisticated design and top quality at an affordable price : with the excellent price-performance ratio, there's no reason to hesitate! Order this first-class sword now and see for yourself!
The steel used here is not stainless and may show slight signs of corrosion. We recommend regular maintenance of the blade, for example with Ballistol, a universal oil ideal for preserving steel products.
The above specifications may vary slightly from specimen to specimen.
