The sword has the typical features of a traditional two-handed sword of the late European Middle Ages and represents, so to speak, an ideal type of late medieval longsword. This classic example of a cutting and stabbing longsword is inspired by the knightly swords that were wielded in the 15th century.


The long, double-edged carbon steel blade with a flattened, diamond-shaped cross section tapers smoothly towards the point, both in profile and distally. It is forged all the way to the pommel and riveted there to the end of the handle. The unsharpened edges are approximately 2.5 mm / 1.5 mm thick and the tip is rounded.

The cross-shaped hilt consists of a long wooden-core handle with brown leather covering, a straight steel guard, and an elongated eight-faceted butt pommel, also of steel, with concave side surfaces and rounded end.

The late medieval knight's sword is delivered with a beautiful wooden scabbard with a brown leather sheath. The tip is reinforced with a blued steel plate and at the muzzle the leather covers part of the crossguard at the height of the ricasso. The sheath is also equipped with an adjustable carrying strap (shoulder strap).
