The Cold Steels® German Longsword is a high-performance luxury sword for serious swordsmen and collectors. Inspired by traditional examples, this modern interpretation features a spring-tempered and expertly hardened 1060 steel blade that is superbly balanced. It has been beautifully polished and extremely sharpened by hand.
The large S-shaped guard with guard ring offers excellent hand protection and is perfect for the techniques that made the sword art of the German fencing masters so effective (tying, holding, dragging)!
The leather-wrapped handle is finished with a heavy steel pommel, which not only balances the weight of the long blade but also serves as an effective weapon in its own right. The scrollwork design of the pommel is more than just a decorative element: it also offers a comfortable and secure grip, even when wearing gloves or gauntlets.
Last but not least, the scope of delivery includes a hand-stitched, ribbed leather scabbard with an antique steel headstock and leather straps with brass buckles for carrying the sword on a belt or bandolier.
