Cold Steel® is proud to expand its range with its own interpretation of a 17th century English basket-handled mortuary sword . This agile one-handed sword is based on historical originals. It is fast, manoeuvrable and provides pure pleasure while training. Quick and effective strikes from the wrist are also possible with this beautiful sword. It is already very popular with the Cold Steel® team and the staff have declared it one of their favourite single-handed sets.



The English sword is made from 1055 carbon steel and has been lightly patinated to create an antique finish. Each sword comes fully sharpened and comes with an ornate leather and steel scabbard.



Any martial artist or historical hema reenactor can enhance their collection with this great piece.



1055 carbon steel

The carbon content and relatively low levels of other materials in this steel make it a very stable material, free of the brittleness inherent in most high carbon steels. This steel is ideal for blades that need to have a high impact resistance and is therefore often used for large fixed knives, machetes and swords.
