Give an English Sword
English sword
What a brave weapon is a light, short, and sharp sword, to carry, to draw, to be nimble, to strike, to cut, to thrust with might and main - Paradoxes of Defense, George Silver, 1599
Cold Steel® is proud to expand its range with its own interpretation of a 17th-century English basket-handled mortuary sword . This agile one-handed sword is based on historical originals. It's fast, maneuverable, and provides pure training pleasure. This beautiful sword also allows for quick and effective wrist strikes. It's already very popular with the Cold Steel® team, with staff declaring it one of their favorite one-handed sets.
The English sword is made of 1055 carbon steel and has been lightly patinated to create an antique finish. Each sword comes fully sharpened and comes with an ornate leather and steel sheath.
Any martial artist or historical hema reenactor can enhance their collection with this great piece.
Carbon steel 1055
The carbon content and relatively low levels of other materials in this steel make it a very stable material, free from the brittleness inherent in most high-carbon steels. This steel is ideal for blades that require high impact resistance and is therefore often used for large fixed knives, machetes, and swords.
