The hun yuan is crafted in the jian style and offers the martial artist a fully functional sword.

The handle made of paduak wood is completed by a beautifully crafted guard element and a sword pommel, each made of nickel silver. The central design of the guard combines elements of Confucianism, Taoism and Hun Yuan. The paduak/nickel silver combination and design are elegantly repeated on the sword's scabbard. In contrast to its traditional appearance, the blade is forged from management steel, which uses advanced heat treatment technology to provide excellent strength and flexibility.

These swords are designed and manufactured by Paul Chen, under license from Hanwei as the exclusive sword supplier to the Shaolin Temple. Under these terms of the agreement, Hanwei is allowed to sell these swords to collectors and is also the only company allowed to use the Shaolin Temple insignia along with its swords. Hanwei strives for perfection in the design and production of these pieces, following the principles of the temple, with the aim of combining traditional values ​​and techniques with contemporary design.
