Enjoy the Guinegate Sword of Emperor Maximilian I, with Scabbard
Late medieval guinegate sword
Beautiful replica of the famous sword said to have been carried by Emperor Maximilian I at the Battle of Guinegate in 1513.
Because the French cavalry left the battlefield in a disorderly and hasty manner, this battle is also known as the Battle of the Spurs .
Our replica has a nice bone handle. The handle rings, the disc pommel and the distinctive forward-curved guard are made of solid brass. The sword comes with a leather scabbard with brass muzzle and placement plates.
