Gift Two-Handed Gim Sword
Two-handed gim sword
In ancient China, this sword was typically reserved only for the strongest warriors, as it could weigh almost 3 kg! Its long, heavy blade could cut wide swathes through enemy ranks, allowing it to breach the defensive lines of opposing soldiers, who were often armed with shorter, lighter weapons. It was also ideal for defending narrower areas, such as doorways and hallways, provided there was enough space.
The Cold Steels® version is slightly lighter than some original copies, so it can be used one- or two-handed. The battle-tested blade is fitted with a cast brass hand guard and pommel, which are decorated with elaborate relief work. The beautiful wooden handle is wrapped with braided cord.
A wooden sheath completes the set. It is decorated with decorative brass fittings in the same style as the guard and pommel.
