Two-handed gim sword



In ancient China, this sword was usually only reserved for the strongest of warriors, as it could weigh almost 3kg! Its long, heavy blade could cut wide swathes through enemy ranks, allowing it to cut through the defensive lines of opposing soldiers, who were often armed with shorter, lighter weapons. It was also ideal for defending tighter areas, such as doorways and hallways, as long as there was enough space.



Cold Steels® version is slightly lighter than some original copies, so it can be used with one or two hands. The battle-tested blade is fitted with a cast brass hand guard and pommel, which are decorated with elaborate relief decoration. The handsome wooden handle is wrapped with a braided cord.



A wooden case completes the set. It is decorated with decorative brass fittings in the same style as the guard and the knob.
