Treat yourself to Emperor Barbarossa's Sword
Emperor Barbarossa's sword, marto
Pope Clement III (1187–1191) supported the Third Crusade, in which three kings participated: Frederick I Barbarossa of Germany, Philip II of France, and Richard I the Lionheart of England. Fredrick got his name from the color of his hair; he was brave and courageous. After defeating many enemy armies, he was the first to reach the walls of Jerusalem, but he was unable to complete his conquest because he drowned in a river on June 10, 1190. His two allies, Richard and Philip, had to return to their countries. John Landless's conspiracy and the conflicts between France and England made their return necessary.
