Give away the Tizona Sword of the Cid, Silver Color.
Sword of the Cid, tizona, silver, marto
Tizona is the name of the sword carried by Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, the Cid, which, according to the Canción de Mio (Song of the Cid), was used in a war against the Moors in Spain. The name "Tizón" translates as "burning stick," or "brand." A sword identified with the name "Tizona" is on display in the Burgos Museum in Burgos. The "Tizona," or "Tizón," is one of the swords (along with the "Colada") attributed to the Cid in Spanish literature. According to the Canción de Mio (Song of the Cid), the Cid won the sword from its previous owner, King Yucef, in Valencia. The Cid then gave it to his sons-in-law, the Infantes de Carrión, but it eventually returned to the Cid's possession.
